The Local Cycling & Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) consultation is now open on the BCP webpage until 22 April and gives everyone the opportunity to review the proposed routes being considered for future improvements to walking and cycling infrastructure.
Bournemouth University and Arts University, supported by SUBU and AUBSU have drafted a letter to be submitted to Councillor Hadley requesting that the route between Talbot and Lansdowne Campuses be prioritised within the plan in order to better support staff and students commuting between the two campuses on foot or by bike. The Lansdowne/Talbot corridor is often regarded as an unsafe and unattractive route for walking and cycling but proposals being considered through the consultation aim to provide a direct, safe and segregated walking and cycling route the length of the corridor and would help BU achieve a number of objectives set out in the Travel Plan.
Please take some time to visit the BCP webpage and drop a pin on the interactive map to highlight this route and any others you would like BCP council to prioritise as part of the LCWIP project.
