All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students continuing studies in 2025/26 can now re-apply for student finance.
The easiest way to re-apply is online and the sooner you do this the better as it can take up to six weeks to process your application. So be prepared to have some money in your bank account for your first few weeks of term, as there is no guarantee the money will be in your account by the start of your studies.
Visit the studentfinance.campaign.gov.uk website where you'll also find common questions about student finance, including a 'How to' guide and cost of living support with information about how to get the maximum amount of loan available to you. It takes less than 30 minutes to apply and you can directly upload your evidence to the website. You'll also need to update your application if your circumstances change i.e. if you change your course or if you change where you're going to live - for example with your parents instead of halls.
To keep up to date follow and regularly check the Student Finance social media channels:
More information about how to apply is available from the four main student finance body websites:
- Student Finance England
- Student Finance Wales
- Student Finance Northern Ireland
- Student Awards Agency Scotland.
