The business world is increasingly globally focused. This part-time online degree will equip you with a wide range of skills to begin a successful career in global business management, or help you to progress your existing career.

You will have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of organisations, their management, the economy and the business environment from a global . You will develop new skills in marketing, management, finance, project management, operations management and human resources, so that when you graduate you have a wide set of globally relevant skills, applicable to many different areas of business.

This course is delivered entirely online so is ideal for those who live or work some distance from Bournemouth and international students who are unable to attend the university in person. It also appeals to Armed Forces personnel stationed overseas or considering their resettlement options. The course has been developed in conjunction with the MOD. It is approved by ELCAS, enabling Armed Forces personnel to offset the majority of the course fees through the ELC scheme.

There are flexible entry and exit points so if you’re not interested in a full Honours degree, you can still gain a nationally recognised qualification such as a Certificate of Higher Education in Global Business Management or a Diploma of Higher Education in Global Business Management. Entry requirements:

For September 2019 and September 2020 entry: One A-level or equivalent in capability and experience. If you have a subject-related HNC or equivalent you may be eligible to join Level 5 of the course. For more information check our full entry requirements.

Entry requirements

The course comprises three stages – Level 4, 5 and 6. Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may join us at any one of these.

This course will give you the chance to develop and hone your business management skills, while helping you understand the subject in the international context of today's corporate environment.

Our graduates perform well once they enter the world of work, thanks to the focus on practical skills as well as business theory. 85% of our students are in work or further study, earning an average salary of £26,000 a year within six months of finishing their course.

Your programme of study will be conducted via Brightspace, the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) currently in use at Bournemouth University.
