What a start to the month! Week 1 was all about the countdown to the University Board-had a fantastic opportunity to showcase our work on shaping @GlobalBU to date with the Board. A brilliant discussion at UET (our University Executive Team) to build on the momentum followed the next week.

Preparations were in full swing for the Vice-Chancellors trip to Australia to be part of the Global Challenges in HE dialogue with other senior officials. Lots of follow up has ensued particularly in the areas of student mobility.

Advertising for the remainder of the Global Engagement Hub Team commenced this month-4 Associate Deans Global Engagement as champions for a global BU in each Faculty and a new Researcher post. Mainstreaming global engagement is at the heart of our developing strategy which is founded on taking our academic model of Fusion global. These posts are therefore an investment in our academic capital as pillars for it's going global journey.

Had an 'Debate' slot in our Senate toward the end of the month themed 'Shaping our journey toward a Global BU'-an exciting discussion followed. Above all the good news that we have won a bid from the HEA (The Higher Education Academy) to assist with our Global BU ambitions by learning from our international staff followed. More detail to follow in the Vice-Chancellors update next month.

SUBU hosted the One World Day that saw BUs global community come together to share experiences, cultures and great food!  Catch the highlights here One World Day in BU.

Never a dull moment @GlobalBU
