Study in a stunning coastal location

An aerial shot of Bournemouth, capturing much of the town, with the beach and sea on the horizon

Located on the south coast of England, Bournemouth University is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty less than two hours from central London by train. We are a green, safe and friendly town welcoming students from many countries.

Famous for its seven-mile stretch of award-winning sandy beaches, the town is also a thriving hub for a number of industries including the creative, financial and tourism sectors. The New Forest National Park is on our doorstep and the Jurassic Coast (which is a World Heritage site) is just a short drive away.

MSc Management with Human Resources; Former Students’ Union President

Studying at BU was one of the best decisions I ever made. The course and facilities were brilliant; the lecturers were knowledgeable and supportive. I was also voted President of the Student Union and that has really developed my skills in many ways.

MSc International Accounting & Finance

I chose Bournemouth University for the AACSB accreditation and ranking in comparison to other universities, as well as the beach and warm weather. BU is very diverse and settling in was exciting for me. Acculturating into the unions was helpful too.
