How to apply

Clearing 2020

We are accepting Clearing applications to join us this September. Search our courses in Clearing or apply online now. You'll be asked to enter your UCAS Personal ID (if known) and an email address. You'll then receive an email with the link to the application form.

You can only apply for one course and you will need to provide details of your confirmed/final results in the 'Qualifications' section. If you are still waiting for your results, select 'Pending' from the Grade list. International applicants should also include English Language Qualifications.

You can click the 'Save' button if you wish to return to your application later on. Click on the link in your email to continue with your application.

If you have any questions, call our Clearing helpline on +44 (0)1202 966777 (lines open 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

We also recognise that knowledge and skills can come from many types of formal and informal learning. Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) procedure is used to formally recognise the knowledge gained by applicants through experience and previous study, and the university allows students who provide evidence of prior learning to be considered for exemption from certain units (Individual Unit Exemption) or years of study (Direct Entry).

2021 entry

We want your application process to be as simple as possible. Here you’ll find information on entry requirements, and how and when to apply for our courses.

You’ll also see: how to track your application after you’ve applied; which courses have interviews; and what to do after you receive an offer to study at BU.
