My Master's research focused on the exploration and association of diet quality and physical activity level among British Bangladeshi Population living in the UK.

To complete this research a Healthy Eating Index have been used to explore diet quality and the GPAQ Questionnaire has been used to explore the physical activity among British Bangladeshi.

Results suggested that there is a positive association between diet quality and physical exercise amid this population. This is due to a sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy diet which increase the development nutrition-related NCD. Future research should aim at improving culturally acceptable and adaptable health interventions focusing on British Bangladeshi.

I would like to continue my research career and start my PhD course to design and execute a culturally accepted toolkit to increase nutritional knowledge among the South Asian population living in the United Kingdom. This can reduce the risk and development of nutritional related non-communicable diseases among this population.

Alongside the PhD research, I would also like to involve myself in academic teaching helping students with their work and dissertations.
