We are home to the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) and are ranked among the top 10 visual effects schools across the world. Our Games courses are accredited by TIGA, the trade association for the UK games development industry.

Our graduates have gone on to work on a plethora of successful Hollywood movies including Blade Runner 2049, Dunkirk, Solo: A Star Wars Story and The Avengers, to name just a few. They have been nominated for and have won Oscars, BAFTAs and Golden Globes along the way.

BFX Festival

BU is home to the BFX Festival, the UK’s largest visual effects, computer games and animation festival. Attracting a wealth of star-studded industry names including Disney, DNEG, ILM, Creative and Blue Zoo (among many others), the festival is a unique opportunity to put your skills to the test by creating visual effects shorts as part of a team.
