All students can choose how they want to apply to Bournemouth University. You can apply directly to us, or you can get help from an education representative.

We treat every application the same way. It doesn't matter whether you apply on your own or get help from a representative - we'll consider your application using exactly the same process and criteria.

Bournemouth University works with a select group of education representatives, carefully chosen to provide potential students with advice and support throughout the application process. We contract official representatives to help qualified prospective students. They support you in choosing a course and submitting your application. They can help you find accommodation and apply for a visa. They also provide other services that match your specific circumstances.

If you enrol with us, we then pay the education representative a fee. You can choose to use other education agents if you wish; we train, monitor, and evaluate only those representatives who are contracted with us to ensure they offer the best possible service, and we strongly encourage you to use one of our official education representatives listed on this page.

Please note, there have been examples of unofficial education representatives claiming to represent us. Check the list below to be sure you are using an official partner of Bournemouth University. You can also refer to the student and parent guide to choosing an education agent to be more confident in your decision.

BU Education Agent complaints process

As part of our commitment to the Agent Quality Framework (AQF), all of our contracted agents are required to adhere to The National Code of Ethical Practice for UK Education Agents when helping international students apply to BU.

However, we do recognise that occasionally applicants may have reason to raise a concern about the education agent who has supported them with their application process. If you wish to submit a complaint about one of our education agents, please read the Bournemouth University Education Agent Complaints Process and submit this form via email: [email protected]
