MA Digital Effects
My main reason for applying to Bournemouth University was the course: The MA Digital Effects programme was just what I was looking for in terms of content, duration and cost (at the time I didn't actually realise that it also has an excellent reputation!)
I am very happy with the MA because it is well-organized and because the tutors are sincere about getting us ready for working in the visual effects industry upon our graduation. Another thing I like about it is that there are many international students here, and I have really enjoyed getting to know such a diverse group of people.
Some of my favourite past-time activities in Bournemouth include exercising (running in the parks or along the beach, going to the gym etc.), going to the cinema with friends, or to one of Bournemouth's many pubs and bars. The University also has a lot of clubs and societies, and I've found some healthy recreation in both the rock climbing club and the juggling society. I am fond of being outdoors, and in this respect I find Bournemouth and the surrounding areas to be beautiful. It is due mainly to the beaches and cliff-top walks, but also because there are so many parks and gardens here.
I have found the UK to be a great place to do my higher education, mainly because of their focus on getting students to meet (and often exceed) industry standards by the time of graduation. But although the emphasis here is on professionalism, I have found people here to be friendly, light-hearted and welcoming.
