Welcoming students from Italy

Meet our Italian community

Italy

We have a large community of international students at BU – currently 1,600 students from around 140 different countries.

We are always happy to welcome new Italian students onto our undergraduate, postgraduate, research and top-up courses. We are also pleased to offer two exchange programmes in Italy through our partner universities - Università Ca’Foscari, Venezia and Università Di Pisa.

We will help you with your application to study at BU, but if you’d like more general advice about the UK education system, visas, scholarships or the variety of courses on offer, you should contact the British Council in Italy

Information for EU Postgraduate students

Prospective EU students from the EEA-EFTA or Switzerland applying for January 2021 postgraduate programmes will be eligible to pay home fees. EU students studying a Master's degree in January 2021 may be eligible for some funding. The UK government is providing up to £11,222 in postgraduate loans for January 2021 entry.

Prospective EU students from the EEA-EFTA or Switzerland applying for September 2021 will pay the same fees as an international student. Bournemouth University sets its own fees for international students. Students from the EU (not Republic of Ireland), EEA-EFTA or Switzerland who start their course after August 2021 will no longer be eligible for student loans. However, there are other forms of financial support available they can apply for. Visit our scholarships and funding information pages to find out more.

You can find more information on the gov.uk website.
