When you come to study Tourism, Hospitality or Events at BU, you’ll be learning from specialists who will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to get ahead in this fast-paced and exciting sector.

We’ve been teaching our Tourism courses for over 30 years and are recognised globally as one of the worlds top Travel and Hospitality departments. We are also a Centre of Excellence for Tourism, as accredited by the World Tourism Organisation. We work closely with key industry professional bodies, associations and companies including United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Visit Britain and Hilton Hotels, among many others. 

Our courses place a big emphasis on striking the right balance of theory and practical work. During your 30-week work placement, you will get sought-after, hands-on experience and potentially the opportunity to network with some of the biggest names in these sectors. Our courses also offer the opportunity to study abroad, and then in your final year, you will have the chance to really tailor your degree based on your future career aspirations.

Here at BU, professional work placements are key to what we do.
