BA (Hons) Global Business Management (Online)

  • UCAS Code:

Accredited by:

Please note that this course is not recruiting for January 2021.

This course is delivered by the AACSB-accredited Business School, an accreditation attained by fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide. It recognises our focus on excellence in all areas.

This is one of the longest-running online business courses in the UK. It is dual-accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence.

The business world is increasingly globally focused. This full-time online degree will equip you with a wide range of skills to begin a successful career in global business management, or help you to progress your existing career.

You will have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of organisations, their management, the economy and the business environment from a global perspective. You will develop new skills in marketing, management, finance, project management, operations management and human resources, so that when you graduate you have a wide set of globally relevant skills, applicable to many different areas of business.

This course is delivered entirely online so is ideal for those who live or work some distance from Bournemouth and international students who are unable to attend the university in person. It also appeals to Armed Forces personnel stationed overseas or considering their resettlement options. The course has been developed in conjunction with the MOD. It is approved by ELCAS, enabling Armed Forces personnel to offset the majority of the course fees through the ELC scheme.

There are flexible entry and exit points so if you’re not interested in a full Honours degree, you can still gain a nationally recognised qualification such as a Certificate of Higher Education in Global Business Management or a Diploma of Higher Education in Global Business Management. According to Unistats, 90% of our final year students said that our library resources (e.g. books, online services and learning spaces) have supported their learning well.

In your third year (between Level 5 and 6), it is possible to undertake a 30-week placement, giving you the opportunity to enhance your CV and graduate employability and put into practice what you have learned about areas such as marketing, management, finance, project management, operations management and human resources.

As this course is full-time, you may be eligible for the tuition fee loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees. You can find the full information about funding your studies and paying your fees in our undergraduate fees and funding section.

Please note: If you would like to join the final, top-up year of BA (Hons) Global Business Management, please view and apply for the course.

All statistics shown are taken from Unistats, Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE), BU institutional data and Ipsos MORI (National Student Survey) unless otherwise stated.

My experience of the course has been fantastic. The content of each unit is distinct yet all units can be linked to each other to create a solid overall understanding. Tutors are very good at replying to queries, either by direct email, discussion boards or online classrooms.

I would urge anyone who wants to gain a degree in Business Management to apply. Its flexibility and content is second to none.
