The programme does not cover computer-based asset creation or programming, for which you may consider BSc (Hons) Virtual and Augmented Reality; BA (Hons) Computer Animation Art and Design, BA (Hons) Computer Animation Technical Arts, BA (Hons) Visual Effects or BSc Hons Game Design

Course details

On this course you will usually be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners and research students. You will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.

Your application

For BA (Hons) Immersive Media, we are looking for applicants who can:

  • Demonstrate a passion for storytelling and experimentation
  • Demonstrate examples of engaging with media production beyond their educational curriculum
  • Genuinely reflect on what their positive attributes are, but also what they want to come to university to improve upon
  • You should be able to communicate why you want to come on this course, what appeals to you about working in this field and why you feel you have the edge over your peers. You must have basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience of immersive media production is not required.
