This part-time/flexible learning MEng (Hons) Engineering course is designed for practising engineers who are already qualified to HND, FdEng, FdSc or degree level who want to gain the academic qualifications necessary to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Applicants for this programme must be employed in a relevant role in the Engineering industry.
The MEng level takes four years to complete on a part-time basis, although you can opt to graduate after two years with a BEng (Hons) Engineering award.
You will cover subjects such as mechanical design analysis, business development, project management, design management and advanced computer applications as part of this course. This is an incredibly flexible way to study, with a number of core units complemented by optional units, allowing you to tailor your course to suit the needs of your employer and your long-term career plans.
Subjects are taught by flexible learning, and you will be supported throughout your study with discussion forums. Academic tutorial attendance is required typically three times for each unit of study. Subjects are assessed through a combination of coursework and examinations which will be submitted electronically.

Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) (accredited as meeting the entry requirement,in part, for Chartered Engineer registration for 2018 intake)
