Once you have firmly accepted your unconditional offer via myHub and paid your deposit, you will be emailed an invite to the Enroly CAS Shield platform from [email protected] (this will be from October for courses starting in January and from April for courses starting in September). On this platform, you will be able to prepare the requirements for your CAS document. Once all steps have been completed, our International Admissions Team will release your CAS to you.
The online system will guide you through your CAS preparation process and show you where to upload all documents required for the release of your CAS. It can take some time to complete all the steps and for your documents to be verified, so we recommend you begin the process as soon as possible.
You may find it helpful to watch the training video from Enroly, which shows all the processes to complete Enroly CAS Shield platform. There is a chat function on the CAS Shield platform (the bottom-right corner). If you need to contact IAT or Immigration teams specifically about the CAS Shield, please use the chat available.
Important note: Please do not email documents to us, as we are unable to accept documents by email. It is your responsibility to ensure all the required information is uploaded to CAS Shield.
CAS Shield: What you need to do
Step 1: As soon as you receive an email from the CAS Shield, please log in to CAS Shield using the link that was sent to you in the ‘Welcome’ email. You will need to create a password for your CAS Shield account.
Step 2: Complete your information checks. You will need to confirm all information by clicking on the tick; you can also edit the information if it’s incorrect.
Step 3: You’ll then be taken to the CAS Checklist summary. Please review the information before proceeding to the next step.
Step 4: Complete your financial checks and upload any required documents. Please note: When selecting the funding options, please make sure to select all that apply (e.g., scholarship AND education loan). We understand you may not have all the relevant financial documents (e.g. bank statements, loan approval documents etc.) ready when completing this section. However, you should aim to provide as much detail as possible. Please note that we may need to check your financial documents. Once you’ve completed the financial checks, your CAS Checklist is complete, and you can proceed to the next steps (‘Go to task list’).
Step 5: General documents, you will need to upload:
- A colour copy of your passport. We would advise that you ensure your passport is valid for the duration of your course. If you are going to renew your passport, do this before you begin your CAS application.
- any UK visas (current or previous; stamped Entry Clearance, any expired Biometric Residence Permits, Share Code to verify your visa online, previous CAS letter, previous visa refusal letter from UKVI (if applicable).
- Your academic transcripts - colour scan copy that is legible.
- Evidence of your English language proficiency.
- Evidence of your tuition fee deposit payment (amount as specified in your offer letter), evidence of sponsorship/scholarship, ATAS certificate (if required). The deposit will be offset against your tuition fees.
- ATAS certificate, if required for the course you have applied for.
Step 6: You may be asked to complete the Pre-CAS Questionnaire — this is not required for everyone. You don’t need to complete it all at once. For example, you can finish Step 1 now and return later to complete Steps 2, 3, and 4. Please note: Once you complete a step (e.g., Step 1), you won’t be able to edit your answers for that step.
Step 7: You may be required to complete a pre-CAS recorded interview, where you’ll be asked about your decision to study with us. If this step applies to you, you’ll receive a request to complete the interview. Detailed instructions will be available on CAS Shield.
Before starting the interview, please ensure:
- You have a stable internet connection
- You are in a quiet, private space without interruptions
- Your passport is ready and available.
When all the relevant information/ documents have been verified, we will issue a CAS. Your CAS letter will be emailed to your personal email address and contains the information you need to include with your online visa application. If any information is incorrect or your CAS, contact the International Admissions Team immediately by emailing [email protected]. Once you have received your CAS, you can prepare for your visa application.
