When you start or return to university, it’s easy to overlook what you are eating. The food you eat has a big impact on how your mind and body works so it’s important to have an understanding of how to eat healthily.

If you have specific health and fitness goals, such as weight loss or gain, or are generally looking to improve your wellbeing through nutrition, our SportBU nutrition advisers are on hand to create a sustainable plan for you.

Plans developed with experience and to budget

All our nutrition staff hold further nutritional qualifications alongside the base level 3 nutrition qualification, such as a diploma in nutritional consultancy.

Our nutrition advisers focus on whole food ingredients without excluding any food groups, steering away from any fad diets and making sure you enjoy what you are eating. All our bespoke plans will be easy to prepare and allow you to be creative – all with a budget in mind.

Bella, BU student

I was impressed with how my nutrition adviser took into consideration a student’s lifestyle and was able to recommend low-cost meals, quick, healthy lunches and even preparing meals for the next few days.

Once you’ve booked your free consultation, you’ll need to keep a food and drink diary for seven consecutive days to give us an insight in to your current lifestyle. From this, an adviser will assess your current diet and make recommendations (based on what you are looking to achieve) to create your personalised nutrition plan.

You can also rest assured that you won’t be on your own once you have your plan. You’ll have a series of follow up appointments with a nutrition adviser, depending on which option you choose to take up to help keep you on track.

Danny, BU student

My nutrition plan has really helped me to get the best out of my training sessions, by making sure that I eat the right foods at the right time.
