We have an exciting opportunity for a HR professional to join our Human Resources and Organisational Development team to contribute to the delivery of an excellent service that supports the University’s vision.
In this broad and interesting role, you will work flexibly as part of a team and be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and utilisation of our annual leave system (e-days). You will ensure data quality through regular reporting, information gathering and data cleansing, whilst providing updated guidance, support and training to all service users.
When required, you will also contribute to the completion of recruitment and employment lifecycle workflows and administration. This includes the provision of high quality, consistent, robust, proactive and timely advice to all service users, ensuring compliance with policies, relevant terms and conditions, employment legislation and best practice. Additionally, you will accurately maintain the various HR systems in addition to e-days, and prepare appropriate documents and correspondence.
You will have relevant experience of Human Resources including an understanding of current HR best practice and legislative requirements relating to the employment lifecycle.
Additionally, you will have significant experience of undertaking complex transactional administrative work in a busy office, including substantial experience of high-volume data entry in a HR/Payroll system. You will possess excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure and attention to detail. Able to maintain confidentiality, you will be highly motivated to provide an excellent and proactive service in line with operational deadlines.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
This position is available on a full-time fixed term basis until 31 October 2023.
