Dr Adil Saeed has his PhD from Bournemouth University and master studies from University of Sussex. Dr Saeed's research interests are in micro and nano-scale corrosion, degradation of engineering materials, climatic reliability of micro-electronics, high-resolution electrochemical techniques, and condition monitoring of high-value structures.
Dr Saeed has joint research projects and publications with Schaeffler Technologies, Aligarh University India, NUST Pakistan, agr Field Operations, NASA Materials Testing and Corrosion Control Branch, PANalytical, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL), ASM Assembly Systems, National Motor Museum Beaulieu, The Tank Museum Bovington and Zeefam Technologies & Scientific Solutions India.
Dr Saeed is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, Fellow of the ICorr and Senior Fellow at Advance HE and is an Editor in three highly esteemed International Journals and a member of various International Scientific Advisory committees.
At the Department of Design & Engineering, Dr Saeed has been leading exciting student projects such as the SUNBEAM with the National Motor Museum and The Tank Museum Bovington. Dr Saeed is leading core engineering units and specialises in advanced simulation techniques, computational fluid dynamics and 3D finite element analysis.
