Deborah is an experienced Senior Lecturer whose research and teaching specialisms are related to Organisational Behaviour and Leadership topics.
She is an advocate of life-long learning opportunities for all and is able to bring her previous experience as a practitioner to executive education roles, currently as the Director of the BU Senior Leader Apprenticeship Programme and formerly as the BU MBA Director. She has won two BU Vice Chancellor awards.
Her research and teaching centres on traditional Organisational Behaviour (OB) and Leadership topics including Psychological Ownership, Inclusive leadership, Career and Talent Management as well as a “self-styled” OB futurist.
Deborah joined Bournemouth University in 2010 having worked within the Investment Banking and the Recruitment industry.
Research
I am particularly interested in supervising doctorate students in organisational behaviour topics such as psychological ownership, organisational culture, career management and the future of work.
