Dr. Milena Bobeva is a key advocate of education and business innovation through staff-student collaboration and Technology Enhanced Learning. Her subject expertise is multidisciplinary, with key focus on system analysis, business process improvement, blended and e-learning, and performance management.

Milena is a Chartered Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) since 2013 and a Senior Fellow for the Higher Education Academy (HEA) (now Advance HE), UK since 2015.

Throughout her years in HE Milena has taught at MBA level, as well as at all levels on large undergraduate (300+students) Business & Management programmes. She has actively adopted and promoted real-life project-based learning and the use of contemporary information and communication technologies as an integral part of applied research, consultancy and practice-based education. She was an MBA Director (2015-2019), Framework Leader for the Business & Management undergraduate programmes (2010-2013) and an acting Associate Dean for Global Engagement at the BU Business School (Oct'2017 - July'2021).

Her work with students as partners in subject-based research, enquiry and consultancy has involved organisations of different sizes and with local, regional, national and international exposure. It has been reported through a variety of channels, including journal and conference publications, workshops and reports.

Academic quality and standards are another aspect of Milena's work at BU. This involves being an active and long-serving member of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Group and elected as an academic staff representative at BU Senate (2015-18) and BU Academic Standards Committee (2016-2018), mentoring fellow colleagues and assessing HEA applications. She is also a reviewer for EJBRM (Electronic Journal for Business Research Methods), Education Sciences and the Academic Conferences group (ECRM, ECEL and ECMLG).

Milena’s work has received numerous Bournemouth University awards and nominations for: Inspiring learning, Outstanding contributions to student learning, Significant contribution for developing excellence and for Enriching society.
