Student Project Bank

Student Project Bank (SPB) collaborating with external organisations

Are you a charity, community organisation, social enterprise, not-for-profit or corporate partner looking to engage with students to address a business challenge?

The Student Project Bank is a mutually beneficial collaboration between you and our students. As part of their studies, many get to work on a live project with the potential for real-world impact while developing their professional competencies and you get the opportunity to benefit from their knowledge, skills and creativity whilst gaining valuable insights into your project area.

The SPB projects should ideally have the potential to benefit the community or society and align with BU strategic investment areas (pdf 272kb) and UN Sustainability Goals.

How it works

These are the main things to consider when you are looking to work with the BU Student Project Bank:

Why host a BU SPB Consultancy Project?

The benefits of hosting a project include:

  • Opportunity to benefit from the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm of high-achieving students developing bespoke solutions for your organisation
  • Access to an additional resource for your organisation that will allow your organisation to tackle challenges that you may not have the resources or time to work on
  • Potential to engage with future employees via a ‘talent pipeline’
  • Free – we only ask that you offer your time at the initial planning stages with the academic, attend the initial briefing session with students and also the final presentations. We ask that you provide a key contact person to respond to any queries.

If you would like to submit a project brief for consideration then please complete our online form.
