BU’s fundraising team works with our alumni community, individuals, charitable trusts and foundations, and companies to fund a diverse range of exciting and important projects.
Our current work includes securing donations to enable world-leading research and vital heritage conservation, the creation of state-of-the-art new learning facilities, and providing our students with the best possible opportunity to fulfil their potential during their time at BU and beyond.

Claire leads the team and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of fundraising. She is happy to talk to anyone about giving to the university or any aspect of the team’s work. Claire also heads the Alumni Relations team and especially enjoys meeting our new graduates at graduation.
Jonathan Goode – Head of Fundraising & Alumni Relations
Jonathan enjoys finding new, creative ways to engage our supporters, and seeing the positive impact of this involvement across the student and graduate community.

Philippa’s role is to secure project funding from charitable trusts and foundations, as well as looking after our current donors. She is also responsible for our fundraising updates, legacy marketing and website content.
Tom Galpin – Prospect Researcher

Tom supports the fundraising team by researching potential donors and managing our database of contacts. He is responsible for due diligence and data protection within the team, and also assists with stewardship and events organisation.
Kerry Noble – Operations Manager

Kerry is responsible for managing the office and coordinating the workload of the whole department, being a shared role with the Alumni Relations team. She is the account manager for BU’s relationship with Santander Universities and is the first point of contact for all departmental enquiries.
