Work experience and volunteering

Work experience is increasingly important these days when applying for uni or looking for work, as employers and universities don't just look at your qualifications anymore. Many like to see that you have done some kind of work experience or volunteering work. Whether it is paid or unpaid, a Saturday job or a project for your ‘gap year’ before you move on from school or college to higher education, the wealth of skills you can gain is invaluable and sets you up for the future.
