Join BU with your family and friends as we walk the Bourne Free Pride Parade on Saturday 6 July.
Bourne Free is a Bournemouth-based charity that run an annual LGBTQ+ pride event in the town centre. The parade (Saturday 6 July) takes place through Bournemouth town centre, ending at Meyrick Park.
Meet us on East Overcliff Drive (exact location to be confirmed) at 10:30am. We will be walking with a decorated UNIBUS alongside our fellow community partners at 11am. If you cannot walk the parade, or need to rest from walking, you’re welcome to sit on our musical UNIBUS. Please feel welcome to invite your family and friends to share this moment with us, as we represent and support the LGBTQ+ community at BU at this year's Pride event.
Theme: There is no theme this year. Dress as colourfully/vibrant as you feel comfortable.
Please sign up in advance via Eventbrite, so we know roughly how many people to expect to ensure your safety. We also have branded t-shirts you are welcome to wear on the day (first come, first served - must be returned to BU after the event).
Do I need to bring anything?
Typically, the Bourne Free Parade is a sunny occasion. We recommend bringing suncream, sunhats and water.
Can I watch the parade?
Watching the parade is free and you do not need to sign up.
Does signing up for the parade mean free entry to the Family Fun Night and Pride in the Park?
We don’t have free entry to the Family Fun Night and Pride in the Park event. But you can purchase your ticket and wristband on the Bourne Free website.
