Dr Samreen Ashraf, Lecturer in Marketing at Bournemouth University
Samreen Ashraf is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Strategy and Innovation within the Business School. She is an MBA with a specialisation in Marketing and Financial services. Samreen’s PhD is focused on consumer multiple identities and consumption. Apart from these research areas Samreen focuses on culture, religion, social media and student’s career prospects.
She has presented her research at renowned national and international conferences and has published her work in peer reviewed journals. Samreen has also been invited as a guest speaker at Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) seminar series, Chartered Institute of Insurance, Institute of Directors and at various Universities to present her research. She has also been on the guest editorial panel for Journal of Financial Services Marketing. Samreen is a Senior fellow of Higher Education Academy. She has won the Sir Jane K. Fenyo Award for best research paper at the Academy of Marketing Science Conference, Vancouver, Canada for her work on student’s career’s prospects in this digitised global world. Recently, Samreen was on the judging panel of 2020 Stevie® Awards for Women in Business
Laura Stone, BU Alumna and Senior Marketing Manager at Princess Cruises
After graduating from Bournemouth University in 2012 with a first class honours in Business Studies with Marketing, Laura gained 8 years’ experience in various marketing roles across sectors including health, financial services and more recently travel, having worked for Princess Cruises for the past 5 years. Her job as Senior Marketing Manager in the UK is to lead the strategic planning, forecasting, delivery and insightful reporting of the brand and marketing plans across digital, print, broadcast and public relations activity all with the aim of innovating, differentiating and developing a consistent, premium brand identity that inspires UK guests to travel with Princess Cruises.
