Between 20 and 23 September, Talbot and Lansdowne Campus will be exciting places to be.
We’ve organised fun activities, treats and surprises to help you explore different cultures, learn about sustainability, and find places in the local area to visit.
There will be plenty of opportunities to meet your student support service teams and other students in the Welcome Tent on Talbot Campus, or to take some time out in our Pocket of Peace Tent to enjoy complimentary refreshments and mindful crafts away from the hustle and bustle. Maybe even sign up for a free yoga session while you’re there…
Whoever you are, you’ll find something for you. You’re an important part of the BU community and we’re so pleased to be able to welcome you onto campus.
As part of your Welcome Celebrations, we have organised free yoga sessions at both Talbot and Lansdowne Campus. Join an hour session to unwind during your first busy week at Bournemouth University. Find out more and book your place.
Join us on Thursday 22 September between 5pm and 8pm on the Ground Floor of the Fusion Building, Talbot Campus to meet new friends from all over the world, share information and insights about your hometown and learn about the homes and cultures of others. During the evening there will be a quiz (with a range of prizes!) and cuisines to try from across the globe.
As part of the event we are asking each student to bring a small gift (of no more than £5 in value) that represents your home country/town, and in return you receive a gift from someone from another country/town.
This is a free event, but because we need to know how many people will be attending you must register for the event in advance if you’d like to attend. Find out more and book your place.
Visit our new interactive exhibit where you can share and read memories, secrets and best-loved tales via postcards - book your place at the private view on 13 January.
Building on our first self -awareness masterclass which focused on your professional identity and purpose, join us to gain a deeper understanding the terms Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and what this means in a professional context and more.
