BU celebrates 25 years with university status

On 27 November 1992, the Royal Charter was granted, awarding Bournemouth University its university status. 2017 marks 25 years since the signing of the charter, and the university has transformed over that period. 

BU's history goes back to the early 1900s, starting out as Bournemouth Municipal College, and later becoming the Dorset Institute of Higher Education, and Bournemouth Polytechnic. Take a look at images of BU past and present as BU celebrates 25 years with university status.
