Marketing influencers from Warner Bros, SORTEDFood and social influencer marketing agency Come Around have been announced as guest speakers for this year’s Mike Warne event.
The event, on 28th February, is organised by final year BA (Hons) Marketing Communications students with the support of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
The trio of guest speakers will discuss the value and future of focusing and engaging with a particular individual, or groups of individuals, as a marketing strategy to influence target audiences.
The speakers are:
Louie Gatas, Digital Marketing Manager (EMEA) at Warner Bros. Louie has over twelve years’ experience in digital marketing and a wealth of experience across both sides of entertainment and digital communications.
Philip Brown is Head of Influencer Marketing & Brand Advocacy at Come Round. Philip focuses on getting brands into the hands and homes of brand advocates and influencers. He is a renowned speaker and spokesperson, having spoken at festivals and conferences across Europe and featured in PR week, The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, The Telegraph and Brandwatch.
Jamie Spafford is one of the founders of YouTube's most engaging cooking channels, SORTEDfood. Jamie has helped build a global community of more than 2 million friends who love socialising around food, his role is looking after community, media and partner relationships.
The annual lecture honours the late CIM Regional Director, Mike Warne, who was an advocate of building relationships between marketing students and the CIM.
The event attracts over 200 attendees including BU students, faculty staff, local marketing professionals and business leaders.
The Mike Warne Event - the future of influencer marketing takes place on 28 February 2018 from 6pm to 8.30pm in the Fusion Building, on BU’s Talbot Campus. Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus, in The Fusion Building.
