Bournemouth University’s Professor Rick Stafford, an expert in marine biology and conservation and Abigail Crocker, a lecturer in green economy, have written an article for The Ecologist with UCL’s Dr Peter JS Jones looking at life after coronavirus.
The article examines how a Green New Deal for Europe might look after the coronavirus crisis, taking into account the economic and social effects of the virus. The authors argue that a comprehensive Green New Deal will restore local jobs lost by the pandemic, will benefit communities and is effect in the fight against environmental breakdown.
