Bournemouth University has risen 26 places in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
BU is now 68th in the rankings, up from 94th the year before, and this year, the Guide ranks 135 institutions in total.
The rankings use measures such as National Student Survey teaching excellence data, and graduate prospects (for which BU is ranked 38th in the UK) to give an overall picture of university achievement.
BU places 7th in the South West region, with the guide also producing 67 subject-specific tables.
Professor John Vinney, Vice-Chancellor of Bournemouth University, said, “We have celebrated a number of league table ranking rises this year, and I’m very pleased to see the recognition of all our hard work as we continue to progress our BU2025 strategy, and work to continue in our research towards REF 2021, and work with our students in mind to give them a valuable education and experience with us. My thanks go to all staff, students and BU community members who have made this possible.”
The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021 ranking rise comes in the same month that BU rose 17 places to 56th in the Guardian University Guide 2021. BU has also entered the top 100 in the latest THE Young University Rankings, which highlights all universities globally under 50 years of age.
