Taking part in international work, study, or volunteer opportunities is a fantastic way to experience a new country and culture during your BU degree. Not only is it a fun experience, but it is also a great way to boost confidence, meet new people and improve your employability.

As part of Your Career Week, we’ve organised a range of events sharing information about international experiences for BU students, as well as the funding available to support you. If you are interested in taking part in an international opportunity, but are not sure how or where to get started, these events will tell you everything you need to know.

Global Marketplace drop-in

Chat with a range of organisations that offer overseas experiences and other opportunities to improve your employability during your studies. No need to book in advance, simply drop by and get talking to the different organisations in attendance.

Funding opportunities for international experiences

Learn how BU can support you with international experiences with funding from the UK’s Turing Scheme. At this session find out what funding might be able to cover, and how to apply. No need to book, simply drop in if you’re interested in finding out more.

This session looks at how to find work experience, placements and internships outside the UK. You’ll learn what you need to consider, what resources are available to BU students and what funding may be available to support you to help support additional costs.
