Postgraduate research opportunity: Apply to co-create conference on sustainability

Are you interested in embedding sustainability within PGR research? Would you like to be involved in the design and implementation of a brand new PGR conference on sustainability - SustainaWHAT?!

This is a fantastic opportunity for BU postgraduate researchers to work in a paid role with PGRs at University of Cardiff and University of Newcastle, with academic support, to design, set up, co-ordinate and host SustainaWHAT?! on campus and online events.

There are two PGR roles available to co-lead the project at Bournemouth University. This is a part-time hourly paid role between January and May 2023.

We welcome your ideas to develop the project - activities could include:

  • Exploring the relevance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to PGR research and researcher development
  • Undertaking knowledge and expertise mapping work in these areas to develop potential synergies between PGR colleagues 
  • Exploring the notion of personal responsibility in relation to the Climate Emergency.

You don’t necessarily need to be actively researching in these areas to get involved.

The on campus event is planned for 28 February; with online events planned for 25 and 27 April 2023.
