Bournemouth University is very pleased to host an International Intensive Study Programme (ISP) as part of a collaborative Erasmus+ Project: Developing Innovative Pedagogy for Complex Accounting Topics (DIPCAT). The project has twelve European partners with a long history of collaboration in research, education and professional practice and this will be our 25th ISP in as many years!

The ISP will offer participating students and academics from across Europe and from the United States opportunities to network with each other and with professionals and policy makers in accountancy. Students will engage in four case-studies which encompass some of the most complex issues facing the accounting profession today.  By engaging with these case studies, students will be better prepared for the many challenges found within our global marketplace.

Throughout the week Accounting Research Symposium will be held in parallel to the ISP. This will allow visiting academics to engage with each other and with BU academics and Partners in Learning on contemporary issues including digitalization and sustainability issues in accounting practices.

This week is more than just two separate parallel events – it is focused on making a positive impact world-wide in collaboration with our valued partners by working on important challenges such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We hope everyone will enjoy a week in which we fuse education, research and professional practice at Bournemouth University.
