As your students move on to further study, we are here to support you in enabling them to think about their future and what higher education (HE) can offer them. We want to inspire young people to go into a career they’re passionate about, and we know that studying at university can be an important part of that journey.
To give your students an idea of what university life is like, we are happy to welcome groups of students for a campus visit. We’re also more than happy to come to you and can run presentations, workshops and other sessions about various aspects of HE, from finance to student life and wellbeing.
Who we work with
We provide an extended programme of outreach activities for young people from groups underrepresented in HE. This includes young people living in low participation neighbourhoods, students from low socio-economic backgrounds, young people in care and students with special educational needs. Projects include student mentoring schemes and residentials.
Each year we put together an exciting programme of activity for your students, including:
• Subject Insight Days, incorporating various areas of interest
• Events for parents, carers, teachers and careers advisers
• Collaborative events with external organisations such as BBC
• Exclusive access to flagship BU events such as BFX and the Festival of Design & Engineering
An outline of our programme is available - please note that the full programme will be released later in the Autumn Term. Bookings for the below events will go live shortly.
