An LED virtual production wall was placed in BU’s Poole Gateway Building as BU experts tested the capability of the new technology for research and education.
The LED wall, borrowed from Premium Event Productions (PEP), allowed for an exploratory event to take place, with the wall set up in BU’s Sound Stage with the use of its in-built motion capture technology.
The technology has been used in television productions such as Disney's The Mandalorian as a way of capturing virtual and physical content in a single shot.
Attendees at the event included Games Workshop founder and BU Honorary Doctorate Ian Livingstone CBE and interested parties from local businesses, organisations and councils.
