The primary aim of the conference is to encourage dialogue, sharing insights, and showcasing progress in race equality. We are using the event as a platform to explore and discuss meaningful practices and strategies for enhancing the experiences of staff and students from diverse ethnicities, both within BU and across the community.
This conference is an opportunity for BU staff, students, and members of the community to come together, share experiences, and explore pathways for meaningful collaboration as we work collectively to create a more inclusive and equitable future. Event highlights and key outcomes include:
Showcasing positive practices - Discover the initiatives BU has developed to advance race equality for staff and students
Enhancing experiences - Learn about ongoing efforts to improve the experience of our staff and students from diverse ethnic backgrounds at BU

Learning from stakeholders - Gain insights from regional and the wider higher education sector about their practices and experiences in supporting staff and patients from diverse ethnic background

Showcasing research - Explore research and global findings by BU global majority staff
Collaborative opportunities - Identify potential areas for collaborative research in race equality, including topics such as language.
