Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly important across all subject areas, not just in STEM. IBM is working to make its AI training more relevant for students in every discipline - and they’re inviting your feedback to help shape it.
What’s the opportunity?
As part of the Department of Computing & Informatics longstanding relationship with IBM, BU staff and students have been invited to take part in a short, free AI training session (about 1.5 hours), and then share your feedback to help improve the content. In return, you’ll earn a digital credential and increase your visibility with IBM.
The training includes:
- Introduction to AI
- Large Language Model (LLM) Basics
- Mastering the Art of Prompting (practical prompt engineering using ChatGPT).
What’s in it for you?
- Gain a foundational understanding of AI and prompt engineering
- Receive an IBM digital credential – great for your CV, placements, or graduate roles
- Option to share your achievement on LinkedIn and tag IBM’ John McNamara, who will re-share to his network
- Access further free IBM training and credentials if you wish.
How to take part:
- Register for IBM SkillsBuild using your BU email- click ‘sign up’ in top right hand corner and select ‘college skills program’ (for students), ‘adult learner’ (for staff).
- Access the AI training directly
- (students only) Submit your feedback (top 3 benefits + top 3 improvement suggestions)
(optional) Share on LinkedIn:
