It's time to get ready for Pride 2026 at Bourne Free - a weekend jam-packed with entertainment, music, education and fun!
Bournemouth's annual LGBTQ+ Pride event returns this summer, 10 -12 July, celebrating equality and diversity and raising awareness across the region.
BU proudly supports Bourne Free, a non-profit local LGBTQ+ charity. Our new branding and key inclusivity messaging will be visible on screens, banners and merchandise throughout the site and on the Parade.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the BU community to represent and support the LGBTQ+ community at BU and locally.
Saturday 11 July - Join the Pride Parade
Meet us at 10.30am on East Overcliff Drive - look for the Pride-ready Unibus which will escort us on the Parade route to through cheering town centre crowds to the Pride Festival Site, Meyrick Park.
T-shirts will be provided and you can walk the route or enjoy the atmosphere from the bus.
For details and to sign up in advance go to Eventbrite
Sunday 12 July - Family Day at Meyrick Park
On Sunday 12 July, BU will be at the free Family Day with a stall packed with cool merchandise, games, sweeties and information for future students and their families.
There is no charge for the Family Event but we suggest getting wristbands from the Bourne Free website, below.
Good to know
• Although there is no theme in 2026, the organisers suggest we "wear whatever makes our inner pride shine!"
• It's July, so pack shades, water, sun cream and plenty of energy!
