BU Students on the Events Management undergraduate course raised £2645 for Dorset Cancer Care Foundation (DCCF) by organising several events as part of their level 5 Live Event unit, attracting over four hundred participants.

- A charity sports day
- Quiz nights
- Immersive entertainment
- Wellbeing experiences
Jack Feinson, a student who helped organise the Battle of The Societies (BoTS) described the event as "amazing." he then added "So many people were keen to take part and came in their designated colours to battle it out in a variety of sporting events including a tug of war, three-legged race, and water relay."
As well as gaining valuable work experience and furthering his studies, Jack highlighted the charitable contributions of the event "By the end we had raised around £1,600 for a great local charity."
Connie Millar, a student involved in the quiz night said "We chose to work with DCCF as cancer is a disease close to many of our hearts."
"It was a pleasure to work with the team at the DCCF."
Eve Went, co-founder of DCCF said: "We can’t thank the students and their lecturers enough for their continued support.
"It’s wonderful to see these young people use their talents to entertain their peers and help Dorset families facing cancer.”
