Framed by socio-cultural theories of risk and contextualised through considerations of power, authority, and bureaucracy, this research asks what meaning does the risk management process hold for undergraduate students on a student film shoot.
Utilising 360-degree camera capture tools placed into the student film shoot, participants then watched and discussed the shot, and their risk management practices, using a head-mounted VR display.
With students able to re-immerse themselves in their practice, the project offers a reflective and reflexive addition to the traditional pedagogy of student film production in higher education.
