Out of hours service

Run by NHS England, the Boscombe and Springbourne walk-in health centre is a nurse practitioner led service, offering urgent, non-emergency medical care during weekends, from 8am – 7:45pm. It's available to anyone in the local area, including BU students, residents and non-residents.

Important information

  • To book an appointment, you must visit the health centre in person (unless you have any symptons related to Covid-19). You will be informed of an approximate waiting time after you've made your appointment. The centre gets very busy and you will be seen as soon as possible
  • Alternatively, please call us on 01202 720174 and you'll be informed of the approximate waiting time ahead of visiting the centre
  • The health centre cannot provide help and support for: dressings, mental health issues, pregnancy-related issues, suspected broken bones, smears, swabs and blood samples. Please note that this list isn't exhaustive.
