During the vacation periods, when there are fewer students on campus, we see lower usage on the U1 bus. Therefore, we've reduced the frequency of the U1 vacation service to operate every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes during the spring break - Monday 30 March until Friday 17 April - and again in the summer - Monday 29 June until Friday 18 September.
This change of timetable helps to avoid buses running with a low number of people on board, saving money and reducing BU’s environmental impact.
You can view the updated U1 timetable on the Unibus website. We also recommend using the Unibus app to buy all your tickets. Please avoid using ‘tap on, tap off’ as you will not get the cheapest fares for your journey.
