The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care (PHEC) Conference 2026 is back on Saturday 9 May, bringing an exciting, hands-on learning experience for students interested in emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. Hosted at BU, this full-day event offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from frontline professionals and develop practical clinical skills.
A hands-on learning experience
Unlike traditional conferences, the PHEC Conference focuses on immersive, scenario-based learning. Attendees will take part in:
Realistic emergency simulations
Practical, skills-based sessions
Clinician-led teaching from experienced professionals.
The event is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world emergency care, giving students a clearer understanding of what happens before a patient reaches hospital.
Sessions will be delivered by a range of specialist organisations, including Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, DocBike and SCAS BASICS clinicians. Additional guest speakers will also be announced, offering further insight into careers and experiences within emergency care.

Tickets are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is recommended. The tickets include full access to conference sessions, lunch and refreshments
