We are excited to announce that the call is now open for BU students to apply for Turing Scheme funding to support experiences in Vietnam with British University Vietnam (BUV).
The two experiences open for applications include a:
- Cultural Immersion Programme open to all BU undergraduate students and recent graduates
- Work Experience Programme open to BU students.

Cultural Immersion Programme
The Cultural Immersion Programme is open to all BU undergraduate students and recent graduates but may be of particular interest to students studying Business, Tourism and Hospitality, or Computing related subject areas.
The provisional programme is outlined to include:
- Welcome and orientation at BUV
- Workshops on Vietnam and Vietnamese culture, Vietnamese work culture, sustainability, community storytelling, plastic-free tourism and more
- Cultural activities in Hanoi
- Work experience days
- One day cruise trip
- Two-day field trip
The Cultural Immersion Programme will run from 15 – 28 June 2026. Turing Scheme funding is available to support BU students with the costs associated with undertaking this activity.

Work Experience Programme
The Work Experience Programme is open to BU students that are interested in gaining work experience overseas within areas of:
- Business (Business Management, Education, Event, Marketing and Logistics)
- Games, Computing and Cyber Security
- Hospitality and Tourism
- Arts, Design and Photography.
The programme will include:
- A traineeship at Vietnamese organisations to help you improve your employability skills in Vietnamese and inter-cultural working environments
- Cultural activities organised by BUV to help you familiarise yourself with the Vietnamese culture and the work culture in Vietnam
- A preparation session organised by BUV which will train you on various essential working skills
- Final report/presentation delivered by you about the knowledge and experience gained during the project.
Participation in the programme must take place from July – 31 August 2026. Turing Scheme funding is available to support BU students with the costs associated with undertaking this activity.
