Gemma AlcockGemma Alcock is an award-winning innovator and drone designer, who has recently been recognised within the top 0.01% of female entrepreneurs in a UK Government innovation competition.

She has worked within the search and rescue (SAR) sector for over 4 years, in both professional beach rescue roles for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and volunteer flood response roles. Her passion for both the drone and SAR industries spurred on and inspired her to found SkyBound Rescuer, an aerial technology company for the Emergency Services.

A primary aim for SkyBound Rescuer was to provide the research and evidence necessary for effective SAR drone use. She is now responsible for several cutting-edge SAR drone research projects at a national level. The research has since been used to form a Rescue Drone Awareness course, which has seen delegates from a variety of Emergency Services, from flood rescue teams to fire & rescue services to police forces and more.
