Returning to full-time education can be one of the best decisions of your life and can give you the opportunity to embark on an exciting new career.

You’ll have access to the same fantastic facilities and activities as other students, but you may also want to know about some of the additional support that’s available. For example, there is a nursery and pre-school on Talbot Campus, which provides an affordable childcare option that fits around studies and BU students can benefit from preferential rates at the nursery.

We offer a very limited amount of accommodation specifically for families and couples, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. As these properties are available as longer lets – up to three full years, or the entire length of a student’s course – they are not always available at the beginning of each academic year. Visit our accommodation for families and couples page for further information about your options.

Our Students' Union also has a wide variety of Clubs and Societies available to join, including the SUBU Student Parents Community and the SUBU Mature Students Community.

We understand that it’s useful to be able to plan ahead when you have a family and other responsibilities, which is why we’ll provide you with accurate term dates, including things like reading weeks, for the entire year, so that you can organise your life accordingly.
