BU accommodation is for single occupancy so we are unable to guarantee accommodation to students with a partner, family and/or dependent.
Most students in this position search and secure their accommodation in the private sector and you can expect to pay in the region of £1,000 to £1,350 per month for a 2/3 bed property.
You will also need to factor in the cost of bills on top of this with gas & electric approx £140-160 per month, internet approx £20-£50 per month and water & sewage approx £30 per month. If you are a full-time student and you have a spouse who is a foreign national then you could be eligible for an exemption from Council Tax. There are many local private lettings agencies that advertise suitable accommodation year round. BU are unable to recommend any one specific letting agency but you can conduct an internet search to view what is available.
