Through our partnership with British University Vietnam (BUV), from September 2025 students in Vietnam will be able to study towards two of our degrees: BA (Hons) Tourism Management and BA (Hons) Events Management.
BUV students will experience a unique learning journey, incorporating BU’s fusion of education, research and practice. And for BU students and staff there will be opportunities for shared education and research, both digitally and in-person.
Thanks to the long-standing relationship between both universities, students and staff have already benefitted in a range of ways including:
- A recognition arrangement so that BUV students can study BU Business School courses at our UK campuses
- BU students travelling to Vietnam for placements facilitated by BUV and funded by the Turing Scheme – the UK’s programme for studying, working and living abroad
- Involvement in numerous British Council-funded projects and research activities. In this instance, BU and BUV staff have met in Hanoi and Bournemouth to share knowledge and collaborate on shared global issues.
“We are delighted to be partnering with BUV to deliver two of our degrees to students in Vietnam. Our values of inclusivity and kindness align so closely. Together we can give our students the best start as they enter the globally interconnected jobs market with a world-class Bournemouth University degree.”
Professor Lois Farquharson, Executive Dean, the Business School, Bournemouth University
“Our partnership with Bournemouth University represents a pivotal advancement to bring the highest calibre of UK education to Vietnam. We look forward to welcoming students to these innovative programmes and seeing them become successful in the tourism and event management sectors.”
Professor Raymond Gordon, Vice-Chancellor and President of British University Vietnam
