You’re invited to attend the official opening of the Students’ Union at BU’s (SUBU) Community Garden at Talbot Campus on Tuesday 20 May between 12 – 1:30pm.
Established in January 2025, SUBU have been building the garden supported by grants from BU Estates, Neighbourly and Students’ Union as well as donations from the community. The Community Garden is located on Talbot Campus, behind Poole Gateway Building – full details can be found on the SUBU website.
The new garden will grow organic fruit and vegetables to supply the SUBU Community Kitchen.
The space will host monthly supper clubs, workshops, plant sales and other activities such as the SportBU kid’s camp. There will also be opportunities to volunteer on Mondays and Wednesdays between 3 -5pm to enjoy time in nature and support in the mission to grow food for each other and those in need.
Join SUBU on Tuesday 20 May for the official ribbon cutting, tours of the garden as well as drinks and light refreshments.
